Hello there.

Welcome to Laurel and Iron - a lifestyle blog documenting my life and adventures in New England and beyond.

Yesterday, while chatting with a friend, I came to the realization that I have officially watched everything on Netflix worth watching and that I was extremely ready for winter to be over. I need to get outside. Unfortunately, Maine and I aren’t quite on the same page yet. It’s still really cold out there!

While I can’t get out to enjoy spring weather yet, I can inject a bit of spring into my life through my clothes, accessories, and makeup.

I’m excited to switch up my everyday makeup draw and get in the mood for warmer weather.

Face

Thrive Causemetics Buildible Blur, Tarte Shape Tape, and Becca Backlight Priming Filter | March 2020 Shop My Stash | Laurel and Iron

I’m starting off with my base products.

This Becca Backlight Priming Filter ($39*) is so lovely. It’s the perfect glowy base layer for spring.

I purchased this Thrive Causmetics Buildible Blur CC Cream in Fair ($38) a while ago but apparently, I’ve been sleeping on it. I didn’t love it at first but lately, it’s the only thing I want to wear.

I’m so close to finishing up this Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair Beige ($27). I do like this concealer but I’m excited to finish it up so I can try something new. I have my eye on the new Covergirl TruBlend Undercover concealer.

Cheeks

Charlotte Tillbury Sculpt and Glow, CoverFx Monochromatic Blush Duo, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector | March 2020 Shop My Stash | Laurel and Iron

For cheeks, I’m going bright and fresh.

I pulled out my beloved Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Ethereal Glow ($40*). This cool pink is perfect for that just in from the sun look.

I grabbed this CoverFx Monochromatic Blush Duo in Soft Peach ($38). This peach duo is so, so dreamy. I can’t wait to wear it for spring!

The Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow in Fair-Medium ($68*). These powders are so stunning. I can’t recommend them enough even with the steep price tag.

This mini of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prismatic Amethyst ($38*, for full size) is the perfect barely there highlight for my skin tone. So barely there that it was nearly impossible to capture a swatch of! It gives me just a hint of pinky duochrome glow. Beautiful!

Eyes

Colorpop Single Shadows, Terra Moons Single Shadows, Colourpop Give It to Me Straight | March 2020 Shop My Stash | Laurel and Iron

I picked out this Colourpop Give It to Me Straight palette ($18) as a great neutral base to build my looks around this month. This palette is a oldie but a goodie. I highly recommend it!

Then I picked out some single shadows to bring some fun brights and pretty pastels to the mix.

Lips

Thrive Causmetics Ilene, Nars Luxembourg, Revlon Honey | March 2020 Shop My Stash | Laurel and Iron

Thrive Causemetics lipstick in Ilene ($26) is the best terracotta nude for you pale princesses out there.

This Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Luxembourg ($27*) is the perfect shiny red for to brighten up gloomy days.

Revlon has discontinued these Kissable Balm Stains but I have the shade Honey and I will use it to the bitter end then mourn the loss. It’s basically spring in a tube.
